these photos are of trentham memorial park ,the land was originally farmed by the barton family , the native bush was made a reserve ,as a example of what the hutt valley was like before settlers cleared the land , the open ground was orgionally purchased by fundrasing for the upper hutt pony club to hold events , for many years it was the site of the a and p shows but is now used mostly for sports and the anual summer carnival.
